WCW Rock The Vote - August 26, 2007

WCW Rock The Vote
Sydney, Australia
August 26, 2007

(As the pyro goes off the laptop looking entranceway lights up and JBL & Joey Styles are at the booth)

Joey Styles: It’s the most interactive pay-per-view in WCW. It just makes sense cause we’re already interactive. Welcome to WCW Rock the Vote! I am here with my WCW counterpart, from WCW Velocity, John Brashaw Layfield.

John Brashaw Layfield: Thank you, Joey. It’s good to be here in Sydney. I’m ready to win some money…I bet Cole on some matches and I’ma make him look like a pansy tonight.

Styles: And with us tonight at the Rock the Voting Center, the lovely Maria!

Maria: Thanks Joey! At this moment we are currently tallying votes for all the matches tonight and at the beginning of the match, we’ll announce the results.

JBL: Are you ready Styles for another night of exciting WCW action? By the way, wanna bet some money?

Styles: No. Let’s go to ring announcer Scott Hudson for the first match of the night

Scott Hudson: Welcome to WCW Rock the Vote ladies & gentlemen here in Sydney, Australia. This is the first match of the night and it is for the WCW X Division Championship. Introducing first…

(“Eye of the Tiger” plays and one of the JMW comes out)

Hudson: From Osaka, Japan, Representing Japan’s Most Wanted, Tiger Mask!

Styles: Back during the MWC & WCW rivalry, Tiger Mask took several opportunities at winning the X Division title including the final battle at Great American Bash

JBL: There’s a chance his swan song may sing tonight… he’s now collaborating with the strongest international faction in WCW history in Japan’s Most Wanted and this may be what it takes to finally win the title

(“Flock’s Theme” plays and the cruiserweight legend comes out)

Hudson: From, the WCW cruiserweight division original… Billy Kidman!

Styles: Kidman has revolutionized the cruiserweight division after successfully pulling off the very difficult Shooting Star Press

JBL: A already banned move in American federations, WCW has allowed Kidman & even our champion Dean James pull off this move with no problem. Don’t get me wrong, Kidman does it a lot better

Styles: You wold be the one to say that

(“This Fire Burns” plays and the champion comes out to a thunderous applause)

Hudson: And from Chicago, Illinois, the WCW X Division Champion CM Punk!

Styles: CM Punk overcame all odds at Great American Bash

(Clips of the Bash’s X Division Ladder match is shown)

Styles: Everything from suicide dives, a broken nose, bent chairs, separated ladders, moonsaults… you name it… it was in the match

JBL: All these men risked life & limb for the most revolutionary title in wrestling and in the end CM Punk came out on top but can he do it again when the lights are on bright

Styles: He’s added his own special type of match too, the Straight Edge 15 which gives you a unique point system to win

JBL: Crafty, but if the fans choose his match and he loses, what will that say about him?

Styles: Let’s go to Maria for tonight’s match type

Maria: Thank you, Joey. Now, let’s see what the fans voted at home as the match type for the X Division Championship

(A screen flashes and a picture of the number 15, a ladder, & a cage is showing with a empty space next to it)

Maria: And the winner is… the Straight Edge 15 match!

JBL: Ok, CM. You made the match… Can you win it?

WCW X Division Championship – A Straight Edge 15 Match
[Point System: 10 Finisher, 5 Pinfall/Submission, 1 Weapon, 3 Table]
CM Punk [c] vs. Billy Kidman vs. Tiger Mask

*Note : To keep up, pay attention to the scorecard…lol

(Match starts off with Kidman pushing Tiger Mask to the side and getting in CM Punk’s face. Both men looking at each other until finally)

Styles: Hey, Tiger Mask is in this match… bridging Tiger Suplex to Kidman… and there’s a pin!

Hudson: Tiger Mask scores a pinfall and is awarded 5 points

JBL: The cruiserweight legend just learned a valuable lesson…never turn your back on a man in a mask

Styles: I guess not as now Tiger Mask & CM Punk trade blows… but CM is a striker… and a huge Spinning Back Kick to the gut and Tiger Mask is in the corner…. CM Punk backs up and I think he’s going for that Knee Lift…but runs into a devastating Clothesline by Kidman

JBL: Reminds me of the Clothesline from Hell…only difference is I’m a lot bigger, taller and I’m a god

Styles: O god… Tiger Mask comes out the corner… goes for a Hurricanrana… but Kidman counters into the BK Bomb! The pin… and he kicks out… And Punk regains control after kicking Kidman in the chest… more kicks and Kidman is off his feet a little… Punk off the ropes, but Tiger Mask lands a Drop ToeHold…

JBL: Smart man, stop the pace before it gets worse

Styles: Kidman off the ropes and lands a Low Dropkick to the face of CM Punk… Tiger Mask is up and lands a Standing Moonsault to the back of CM Punk… and Kidman Super Kick’s Tiger Mask! And he’s knocked to the outside…

JBL: We call that pay back

Styles: Flips CM over and lands a Standing Shooting Star to CM Punk… the pin… and Kidman gets a pinfall

Hudson: 5 point awarded to Billy Kidman!

JBL: Hey look at the mask guy, he has a chair…

Styles: And I don’t think Kidman sees it coming… Chair shot to the back of Kidman’s head

Hudson: 1 point awarded to Tiger Mask

Styles: And Tiger Mask is trying to hit CM Punk but he’s rolling away from him…

JBL: That was smart… roll like your on fire, haha

Styles: And CM is out the ring… and he’s arguing with CM Punk but Kidman is behind him…tries to go for a possible German…but he blocks it… and another chair to the back of Kidman’s head

Hudson: 1 point awarded to Tiger Mask

Styles: And I think Kidman is done and Tiger Mask is holding that bloody chair over Kidman… and he lands another shot to Kidman’s chest…

Hudson: 1 point awarded to Tiger Mask

JBL: He’s beating the win out of him

Styles: And another shot to the ribs to Kidman and I think he really is beating the win out of him

Hudson: 1 point awarded to Tiger Mask

Styles: He’s 6 points away from a win here… here comes another shot… but Kidman blocks it with his feet! And pushes the chair into Tiger Mask’s face!

Hudson: The ref has counted that as a shot with the chair by Kidman, 1 point awarded to Kidman

Styles: And Tiger Mask pushes rim… but I don’t think he sees the champion… CM Punk in the ring & Tiger Mask misses with the chair… Kick to the stomach… and here it comes… GTS to Tiger Mask! Out of no where!

JBL: I would hate to get kneed in the face like that… god’s cannot have surgery on natural beauty

Styles: I think I’m going to be sick

Styles: And CM Punk takes the lead… but look out for Kidman…and Kidman lands a German Suplex to CM Punk tossing him towards the corner and this may be time for the Sever Year Itch

JBL: Shooting Star time!

Styles: Kidman is up…but Punk puts his knees up and Kidman lands hard and I think he may have some broken ribs after that

JBL: CM Punk needs to regain his composure and end this match while the iron’s hot

Styles: CM Punk is up… back hand to Kidman… and another… and there’s that high Straight Kick to the back of Kidman’s head… the Uranage!… into the Anaconda Vise! The Vise is locked in! and Tiger Mask is no where to be found!

JBL: Ball game!

Styles: Wait… look at Tiger Mask… off the top rope… and Tiger Mask steals the Seven Year Itch but it’s not his finisher but goes for the pin… 1… 2… and… wait…

JBL: Ha! Kidman tapped first!

Styles: But Tiger Mask scores the pinfall first…

JBL: We’re about to find out, Styles.

(The ref talks to Scott Hudson about the official decision as all men are still laid out… Tiger Mask gets up and leans over the ropes in Hudson direction as CM looks at him through the ropes and Kidman leans up)

Hudson: The ref has concluded Kidman was pinned & tapped at the same time but due to the points system after both of those events occurred, Tiger Mask has 14 points but CM Punk has 15 (as the crowd cheers)

JBL: Wow

Winner – CM Punk
Time – 14:33

Hudson: Which means the winner and still the WCW X Division Champion… CM Punk!

Styles: He’s done it again! CM Punk has won. Is their no man who can defeat the Straight Edge superstar?

JBL: There is but until they come he is on top of the mountain… and it doesn’t look like he’s done

Styles: CM Punk picks up Tiger Mask… and hits the GTS! What’s going on? And locks the Anaconda Vise on Kidman and he’s not letting go!

JBL: Punk wants to make sure he keeps his title, this is to all the potential X Division contender’s…be prepared cause CM Punk isn’t playing anymore

(Punk still hasn’t released the hold as ref’s are coming down trying to tell him to let go as the fans begin to boo loud…As he still keeps the lock in and the ref’s have no luck, Kidman hits back in the ring with chair in hand and breaks it up)

Styles: And finally CM Punk let’s go but to what extreme? Tiger Mask’s neck & arm has to be dislocated. If it wasn’t for Samoa Joe, it could’ve been worse

JBL: (As CM Punk does his X taunt, he now sticks his middle fingers up with it) There, you can see what he thinks of these fans. It seems like we may be seeing a new & improved CM Punk

Styles: Possibly, but it may be a CM Punk that these fans aren’t going to like

(Backstage, Ultimo Dragon & Jushin Liger are sitting and discussing Tiger Mask’s loss)

Ultimo: That’s ok. We will make up for it with a win for those WCW tag titles

Jushin: We knew it was going to take some time to succeed here. I see this will be, as these Americans say, no cakewalk

(Motor City’s finest come through the door talking)

Alex Shelley: Well, well, well if it isn’t the JMW

Chris Sabin: Just Might Wackoff…haha

Shelley: So fellas, I see your buddy Tiger Mask lost the X division title and got his ass kicked. See if that was me or Sabin we would’ve embarrassed him and probably rubbed it in his face much more than CM did but we have more important things to focus on

Sabin: Like putting those tag team titles around the waist of true champions…the Motor City Machineguns

Ultimo: You are an exceptional group, Motor City, but from what I hear you Alex wear eye shadow and you Chris cannot fight your way out of a paper bag

(Audience laughs as Shelley is holding back Sabin)

Shelley: Cool it, Chris. Its face paint you ass. But ok if that’s how it’s going to be…we’ll show you what this eye-shadow wearing & this paper bag fighting tag team can do

Sabin: Yeah, what we can do

(They leave as it cuts to an add for Great American Bash on DVD coming soon)

Styles: It has been an ongoing feud since WWE and now it has come to WCW with no intention on stopping

JBL: The Legend Killer & The Champ have been back and forth in this rivalry and neither man can get an upper hand

Styles: Let’s see what got us to this point

(The highlights are shown between Randy Orton & Matt Hardy clashes in WWE are shown then Vince Russo are shown in the middle of the ring)

Vince Russo: I’m out here as a special referee for this match which, as by Jim Cornette & myself Vince Russo is to decide who will be the #1 contender for the WCW Undisputed Championship and face the champion at September’s WCW Sold Out. Introducing the competitors tonight…

(“Burn in my Light” plays and the pyro comes down before Orton comes out… he then walks through it with a very determined look on his face)

Russo: From St. Louis, Missouri, the Legend Killer, Randy Orton!

Styles: Randy Orton has come a long way in WCW. From his leadership during the MWC invasion to the successful win in the battle royal at the Bash, Orton has been in top form. Becoming #1 contender would be just another notch in his shameful legend killing WCW career

JBL: Shameful? Self-made legends are always in top form, Joey. For someone like Randy Orton, it’s natural and he’s cementing his name by knocking off all others who stand in his way

Styles: A list that includes Shawn Michaels, Sgt. Slaughter, Dusty Rhodes, Rob Van Dam & Triple H, Orton has overcome so insurmountable odds to hold up to his Legend Killer image

(“Live For the Moment” begins as the crowd cheers for the I will not die follower)

Russo: From North Carolina, he is the Matt Hardy!

Styles: You’ve encountered Matt in your career JBL. What are his chances of winning here tonight?

JBL: What else can I say I’ve been pushed to the limit by Matt but a man like Orton cannot just easily be pinned, he’s as calculated as his former mentor Triple H. Matt needs to focus on trying to outsmart Orton to get his shot at the title rather than kiss up to these fans

Styles: And if he doesn’t?

JBL: Orton not only becomes #1 contender, I will guaran-damn-tee he becomes World champion

Styles: Making Vince-like predictions now, huh? Let’s go to Maria for tonight’s match type and see what the fans voted

Maria: Thank you, Joey. Now, let’s see what the fans voted at home as the match type for this #1 Contender’s match

(A screen flashes and a the words “Last Man”, “Iron Man” & “First Blood” showing with a empty space next to it)

Maria: And the winner is…the First Blood Match

JBL: Time to make someone bleed Styles

#1 Contender for the Undisputed Championship First Blood Match
Randy Orton vs. Matt Hardy

(Orton is taking the best of the match, from already hitting his Signature Backbreaker to landing several DDT’s. The Legend Killer is determined to win, or kill, but not as much as Matt is)

Styles: And that Face Lock is still in…but Matt with elbows to the ribs…and Orton legs go… Matt runs up and lands a Clothesline… then another one… off the ropes and lands a Back Elbow and the Mattitude is kicking in here!

JBL: The Mattitude is kicking in… that is the most retarted name for momentum I’ve ever heard

Styles: Matt drags Orton over to the corner and there’s the Leg Drop from the second rope… and Matt is up and he may be looking for a the Twist of Fate in the middle of the ring… grabs Orton… but Orton runs with Matt and rams him into the corner

JBL: That’s the strategy of the Legend Killer, that is a great example of ring presence Styles

Styles: Orton with those crushing closed fists to the face of Matt and he’s trying his best to open Matt up… and finally the ref pushes him off… but Orton ignores the orders and Matt lands a shot to the ribs

JBL: Watch his momentum, Orton, this guy can get fired up very quickly

Styles: And those rights & lefts by Matt… Orton tries to counter with his own right… and Matt counters back with a Side Effect and Matt rolls out the ring… and he has a chair!

JBL: Time to open someone up, Joey boy

Styles: (As Matt is winding up the chair) Orton is pulling up with the ropes but I don’t think he knows what’s about to happen… Here comes Matt… and Orton was playing possum as Matt misses with the chair…Matt turns around and RKO! RKO! And Matt is out…

JBL: You have to bust him open, Randy

Styles: And I think he heard you cause he has that chair in hand… and he’s unfolding it in the middle of the ring… and he’s dragging Matt’s lifeless body to the side of the chair and he has the setup for the RKO locked in

JBL: This is the end, Styles, say goodnight to another Hardy boy

Styles: Orton runs but Matt pushes Orton off! Orton high jumps the chair… off the ropes he goes and a kick to his gut by Matt and now Matt is about to end it with a Twist of Fate to the chair

JBL: Hate to say it… Ballgame!

Styles: Here’s it comes… but Matt twists and Orton moves his head… Matt tries to grab again… Orton blocks and spins Matt around RKO but Matt shoves him off… another Twist of Fate attempt… But Matt about to twist and Orton tosses Matt over his head… grabs Matt… RKO… RKO to the seat of the chair!!

JBL: Wow, counters, counters and more counters and Orton still pulls off the RKO

Styles: And now the ref is going to check Matt… and he’s still not busted open as he is very slow to get up

JBL: Look at those cold-calculating eyes by Randy Orton… he’s not done

Styles: Orton setting up in the corner… and no… not how he did this to HBK & Dusty Rhodes… Matt has his head up…. And Orton with that swift kick to the face of Matt… and there’s the blood trickling down as Orton basically kills Matt Hardy

Winner – Randy Orton
Time – 11:31

Hudson: Your winner, the Legend Killer, Randy Orton!

Styles: As that devastating kick to the skull by Orton after hitting two RKO’s, with one to a chair, Randy wins the match

JBL: You’ve never experienced in ring competition Joey, he did whatever it took to win even if he had to damn near kill Matt to do it… I’m surprised it took that many strikes to the head to do it but that’s a Hardy for you

Styles: And now Randy faces the champion at WCW Sold Out

JBL: Be ready, the Legend Killer is coming

Styles: Up next is the match for the WCW World Tag Team Championship and here’s a special look at all of our competitors

(An ad is shown, in order, of Kurt Angle & Batista’s win at Great American Bash, the arrival of Japan’s Most Wanted, arrival of MCMG, Liger’s win against Batista, Shelley & Sabin confrontation with Sting,
Ultimo Dragon receiving confirmation from Cornette to wrestle for the titles, MCMG announcing there in the match and finally Goldberg receiving the title from Angle with Angle giving Cage the Angle Slam)

Hudson: Time now for the match for the WCW World Tag Team Championship. Introducing first…

(“Detroit Rock City” plays as Shelley & Sabin make their way to the arena)

Hudson: From Detroit, Michigan, the former WCW X Division champion Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley, the Motor City Machineguns!

Styles: A very hard road for Chris Sabin as he’s been re-inserted into the tag team title picture this time with Alex Shelley

JBL: Alex, compared to Dykstra, is a much better partner for Sabin. Outside WCW, they have already been successful in TNA & have held titles overseas… expect these two to be the breakout team here in WCW

Styles: But can they get it done tonight?

JBL: May possibly the sleeper to walk out with the belts tonight…watch out for these two, Joey

(“Japanese Swan Song” plays and the Japan’s premiere team comes to the ring)

Hudson: From Osaka, Japan. The legend Ultimo Dragon & Jushin Liger, being accompanied to the ring by Tiger Mask… they are Japan’s Most Wanted!

JBL: Japan has blessed us with these extraordinary men who already prove they are the top team in Osaka and other parts of Japan but can they get it done here

Styles: If Tiger Mask’s performance to almost win the X Division title was any implication, the champions have there hands full

(“American Hero – ECW Remix” plays as Kurt Angle comes out then it plays into “Who’s Next” and Goldberg comes out…stands in front of Angle and both men shoot off their pyro at the same time)

Hudson: And finally they are the WCW World Tag Team Champions the American Hero & Goldberg… The American Born Animals!

Styles: Here are you tag team champions, John. There are a wrestling fan’s dream team.

JBL: A dream team means nothing if they can’t work efficiently together… even with Batista we couldn’t tell if they could work together… Goldberg as his replacement means nothing…let’s see with the cards on the table can they word good enough to regain their titles

Styles: Let’s go to Maria for the results…

Maria: Thank you, Joey. Now, let’s see what the fans voted at home as the match type for the WCW World Tag Team Championship

(A screen flashes and a picture of the a tornado, the state of Texas & the letters FCA with space next to it)

Maria: And the winner is…the Texas Death Match!

Styles: All men are in the ring at the same time for this one with a pinfall eliminates the superstar of the team rather than the whole team

JBL: It’s a unique match…let’s see who will walk out as champions…

WCW World Tag Team Championship Texas Death Match
American Born Animals (Goldberg & Kurt Angle) [c] vs. Motor City Machineguns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley) vs. Japan’s Most Wanted (Ultimo Dragon & Jushin Liger)

(Everyone gang up on the champions as Japan’s Most Wanted & MCMG are using their speed against Angle & Goldberg but as they say a good power game can slow down any fast superstar)

Styles: And it looks like Sabin & Shelley are taking a page out of the Hardyz book… Sabin is running towards the laid down Shelley… and Sabin gets caught by Goldberg… and Powerbomb’s him onto Shelley!

JBL: But Liger & Ultimo has Angle trapped in that corner but now Angle is fighting back… a right to Dragon, another to Liger, another to Dragon… he’s on a roll, Styles

Styles: Tosses Liger off the ropes, and catches him with a Release Belly to Belly… Angle is on fire! But here comes Ultimo… tries for the Headscissors Takedown and their spinning in middle of the ring and Angle tosses him out but Dragon hangs on the top rope… Angle turns around and lands a Stunner-like Neckbreaker on that top rope and sends Ultimo outside

JBL: Those are some unforgiving ropes, Styles, hope his insurance is going to cover it

Styles: And look at Sabin… Springboards into the ring but Goldberg catches him…Powerbomb, hangs on, and a release Overhead Toss and Sabin goes flying… and Liger is trying to fight with Angle and Angle turns around and he is unfazed! Liger off the ropes… and Goldberg spears him! The pin… and Liger is out

JBL: Where the hell he come from?

Styles: I don’t know but here comes Shelley …to the top rope and Goldberg swats off the Missile Dropkick and now Angle is behind him… Shelley back up & gets the Angle Slam for his trouble… the pin… and Shelley is eliminated

JBL: This is embarrasing… this isn’t a match… it’s a execution

Styles: And Sabin is back up… and has a chair with him…

JBL: What is that going to do?

Styles: Sabin comes in screaming towards Goldberg and Goldberg, as Tazz would say, goozle his neck, knees to the ribs…

JBL: Watch Ultimo Dragon… he comes in the ring with a chair too… what the?

Styles: And Angle ducks under the chair swing… and German Suplex to Ultimo Dragon and Ultimo was just folded in half! And Angle has the straps down and it may be time for the Ankle Lock and Goldberg has Sabin in the air for the Jackhammer

JBL: Oh, just end it already

Styles: And the Ankle Lock is locked in! Jackhammer to Sabin… the pin… and the submission! And the pinfall!

Winner – Kurt Angle & Goldberg
Time – 8:44

Hudson: Your winners and still the WCW World Tag Team Champions… the Kurt Angle & Goldberg the American Born Animals!

Styles: Does that prove to you that they can work cohesively?

JBL: No, put these two in a traditional tag team match, tagging and all, and they will be nothing… the APA made a living out of embarrassing tag teams like these two. Yeah, there dominant, there skilled, they have the titles but for how long can they superstar team last until a little ego kicks in

(Ad airs for a early sampler of WCW Sold Out which will feature Randy Orton against either Iceman Dean James, Finlay, Sting or Raven…clips are shown of Orton facing Finlay, Orton’s WCW Championship match against Sting & his time facing Raven.)

(Comes back with Scott Hudson in the ring)

Hudson: Our next match will be for the… WCW Intercontinental Championship. Introducing first…

(The loud speaker plays with the voice saying “New… new… New World Order” then saying “We’re back!” into “A New World Order” plays and Hollywood comes down in his usual white & black feather boas)

Hudson: (Reading from a paper) He is the leader of the New World Order, the undisputed Icon of WCW, WWE and all of wrestling… the immortal Hollywood Hulk Hogan!

JBL: Now that’s an entrance

Styles: Well, someone feels high & mighty of themselves… Undisputed Icon of All of Wrestling?

JBL: It’s no wrestling god but it means he holds a place in wrestling history being the superstar he is… don’t be jealous Styles, I can train you to be… a corner man

Styles: Thanks, but no thanks

(Once again, the loud speaker plays into “Never Gonna Stop” and Edge comes out)

Hudson: (Again reading from a paper) He is the former leader of the New World Order, the future Icon of professional wrestling and the undisputed Rated R superstar…he is the WCW Intercontinental Champion… being accompanied to the ring by Vince Russo…Edge!

Styles: The future icon of professional wrestling? Oh, you gotta be kidding me

JBL: Problem? Can you sit here and say anyone else has the right to call themselves that as of this moment in WCW?

Styles: Dean James

JBL: Who fell at the feet of Edge on two occasions already… next

Styles: Let’s go to Maria…

Maria: Thank you, Joey. Now, let’s see what the fans voted at home as the match type for the WCW
Intercontinental Championship match

(A screen flashes and a picture of a cage, a blood splatter, and the symbol of a chair is shown with a empty space next to it)

Maria: And the winner is…the Steel Cage match!

JBL: Alright! A good old school cage match between two megastars

Styles: We about to find out if Hogan can survive against the Rated R Superstar

WCW Intercontinental Championship Steel Cage Match
Hollywood Hogan vs. Edge w/ Vince Russo [c]

(Before the cage totally shuts down out of no where Samoa Joe & Randy Orton comes down to the ring and assaults Hogan)

JBL: The new era is here…

Styles: And there attacking Hogan and stomping on him… this isn’t a match this is an attack for no point

JBL: (As Russo comes in the ring with a chair) No this is a statement being made the new era is here and there is no stopping them…besides it’s a cage match, there’s no disqualification

(As they continue to assault Hollywood, he begins to bleed after tossing him into the steel. Edge is rubbing his face into the cage, which is basically peeling the flesh off his face. Very weak, Hogan is trying to fight back but Samoa Joe begins those consecutive jabs to the face, looks at his partners as he tosses Hogan off the ropes, lands a Drop Toe Hold, Orton lands a Running Knee Drop to the back of his head… Edge lands a Low Dropkick to the ribs…and to top it off Russo bounces off the ropes, does his best impression of Jeff Jarrett and lands a Leg Drop… then another legend comes down with the crowd cheering)

Styles: Here comes Billy Kidman! And Kidman is climbing the cage and I don’t think the rest of the group sees him… he stands straight up… and Kidman does the Seven-Year Itch and takes out the whole group…

JBL: But he’s by himself what else can he really do? This is a suicide mission…

Styles: Back to the top… and it look like he’s going for a Moonsault… but Samoa Joe is up and grabs Kidman in midair…takes him to the corner, turns him… into a Muscle Buster

JBL: Solider down! No more reinforcements!

Styles: This isn’t funny, JBL

JBL: Hey, I’ve learned my lesson, I retired on top of my game. I understand that it’s time to hang it up and pass the torch, some people don’t

Styles: And there goes Edge going for the pin… and it’s over…finally

Winner – Edge
Time – 7:44

Hudson: Your winner and still the WCW Intercontinental Champion, the Rated R Superstar, Edge!

Styles: (As Orton, Joe, Russo & Edge stand in the middle of the ring with hands up) And as the new era finally has made their statement, what other legend dares cross their path?

JBL: They all better leave town now, there’s no stopping this team of superstars… they will lead wrestling into the next generation like it or not

(As ads for new Dean James, Goldberg, and Samoa Joe t-shirts finishes airing and we return to the ring.)

Styles: Up next is the match we’ve all been waiting for…for the Undisputed Championship, let’s take a look at how we got here

(Ad airs of Dean fighting off Finlay, his matches against Raven & him standing face to face with Sting)

Joey Styles: And we’re back at WCW Rock the Vote where we are ready for our main event of the night.

JBL: Yeah Joey, but you know we have to unveil the votes and see who is going up against our champion right here, right now.

Joey: That’s right. It will either be Finlay, Raven or Sting that will go up against Dean James in a few minutes.

JBL: And here’s Howard Finkel to close the polls and unveil the winner.

(Howard Finkel climbs into the ring with a microphone and looks at the crowd.)

Finkel: Ladies and Gentlemen I’m here to tell who is going to face Dean James for the WCW Undisputed title next in the main event.

(The polls show on the titantron with pictures of Finlay, Raven, and Sting show up on the screen. The poll bars for each superstar move back and forth until Howard Finkel takes an envelope from his jacket and opens it up.)

Finkel: And the lucky superstar that gets the opportunity at Dean James’ WCW title in tonight’s main event is none other than…RRAAAVVVEENNN!!!

(The Titantron shows Raven with 40%, Finlay with 35%, and Sting with 25%.)

JBL: Can you believe it? Those idiotic fans voted for that washed up scumbag Raven.

Joey Styles: Scumbag? The next time you call a former WCW World Champion a scumbag remind me to get out of your way. And by the way who did you want to win?

JBL: Well you know Joey, I am a wrestling god and the closest person to that is Finlay.

Joey: Oh God…

JBL: Hold that thought Finkel isn’t done yet.

(Howard Finkel is back in the ring with another envelope.)

Finkel: And Now to decide with match stipulation Raven and Dean will fight under the fans have voted between a TLC match, hardcore match, or a House of Fun Match.

(The titantron again shows the match poll between TLC, Hardcore, and House of Fun rules.)

(Finkel opens up the envelope and reads it aloud.)

Finkel: And the match that will serve as the stipulation for tonight’s main event is none other than a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match!!!

Joey Styles: OH MY GOD! What a vote. The fans have vote and here we are.

JBL: You got atlas one thing right tonight Joey and now let’s get ready for our main event.

(A video package airs for Dean James vs. Raven in a TLC match for the WCW Undisputed title next.)

(Scream starts up on the PA and Raven starts his way out to the ring while getting a mixed reaction from the crowd.)

Finkel: This next match is the main event of tonight’s Rock The Vote is for the WCW Undisputed Title and is under TLC rules.

Finkel: And first, the challenger, he weighs in tonight at 244 lbs., he is a former WCW World Champion, from the Bowery, Raven.

(Raven climbs up the ring steps and walks into the ring. He looks out into the crowd, into their eyes and then back at the entrance ramp, waiting for Dean James to come out to ring.)

(Symphony Of Destruction plays and the lights dim to a dark blue color, covering the arena in darkness. Smoke comes out of the curtains and then the Dean James bursts through the curtains. Dean James walks over the left side of the ramp and gives them the peace sign taunt, he then goes to the other side gives them the peace sign as well.)

Finkel: Now weighing in at 230 lbs., he resides in Victoria, Australia; he is the WCW Undisputed Champion, “The Iceman” Dean James!

(Dean James climbs up a turnbuckle and gives the peace sign to the crowd as they cheer. Dean then hopes off the turnbuckle and walks to the middle of the ring to give the referee his belt and then goes back to the corner.)

WCW Undisputed Title Match-
TLC Match
Dean James© vs. Raven

(Dean and Raven or in separate corners and the referee rings the bell.)

Joey Styles: Well here we go. Dean and Raven start of with rights to each other head and walk Raven hits 1, 2, 3 jabs and there’s the clothesline!

JBL: I don’t like Raven, but I’d rather see him win than stuck SOB Dean James.

Joey: What are you talking about? And here’s Raven out at ringside. But what is he looking for under ring.

JBL: I think you know. And there they are he has a chair and a kendo stick. Raven rolls back into the ring and Dean James is getting back up.

Joey: Raven dropped the chair and has the kendo stick in hand, oh and a shot right to the side of the champ. And another to the head before Dean drops to the ground. And now Raven is opening up the chair.

JBL: Dean is trying to get back up, but Raven has that kendo stick, and another shot to the side! Raven irish whips Dean to the ropes and is about to go for a drop toe hold but Dean stops at the ropes and stomps on Raven. He picks up the chair and send a massive head shot to Raven!

Joey: Now Dean climbs up the turnbuckle and goes for a moonsault and he connects it! Now Dean rolls out of the ring and he’s searching under the ring.

JBL: I think he’s looking for a ladder. And there it is! But not just any ladder it’s a 15 ft. ladder! Dean slides it in the ring, but before he can climb in Raven runs across the ring and dropkicks the ladder into Dean James’ face!

Joey: Raven is outside the ring and has dismantled the ring steps. He sits then down on the ringside floor and picks Dean up. Raven is going for a suplex, but wait, Dean reversed it and picked Raven up for a brain-buster. Oh, and there it is, a brain-buster on the steel steps!

JBL: That was bad on Raven’s part and he paid dearly for it. What now, Dean has just brought a table from under the ring and slid it in. He picks up Raven and slams his head against the ring post before throwing Raven back into the ring. Dean then takes the ladder and slides it in too before getting in the ring itself.

Joey: This where it gets dangerous. There’s a chair, a table, and a ladder all in the ring. Raven is staggering to stand as Dean James is setting the ladder against the turnbuckle. Dean turns around and oh, Raven just clotheslined Dean onto the ladder. Raven then takes Dean and bends him over form a piledriver.

JBL: I don’t think that this is going to end well. And there’s the reversal! Dean just reversed the piledriver and sent Raven flying into the ladder. Dean steadily walks over to the table and sets it up.

Joey: Dean now goes back over to Raven and picks up the ladder. He’s setting it up in the middle of the ring and starts the climb.

JBL: This is the part that makes or breaks a man in ladder matches. And it looks like Raven is up. He staggers over to the ladder and he too starts climbing the ladder. Dean is at the top and see Raven a couple of inches below.

Joey: They’re exchanging blows, they might fall off. And there’s a hard right to Dean. Dean’s seated on the ladder, will Raven throw him off?

JBL: Hopefully so. Wait, Dean reversed Raven’s punch, Dean is climbing to the top of the ladder. He double under hooks Raven, and jumps off the ladder!

Joey: OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!!! Dean James just hit the BOSS of a 15-foot ladder and sent Raven through a table!

JBL: Now that is what we came to see! These wrestlers don’t care what they have to do in order to win. They are willing to put their bodies on the line for this and truth be told, I would too.

Joey: You got that right, but I can’t tell who took the worst hit. Here’s the referee to take a look at them. I don’t think that Raven will be able to answer though. Wait, wait, Dean James is starting to stir. Could it be? The referee is asking Dean does he want to call off the match.

JBL: I know that I wouldn’t, not after what they’ve been through. And I think that Dean feels the same way because he’s slowly getting up with the help of the referee and Dean is standing in the corner.

Joey: He walks over to Raven’s motionless body, mounts it and starts punching. The referee is trying to break it up, but he can’t get Dean James off of Raven. Dean is finally off of Raven, but Raven is busted wide open!

JBL: And what a crimson mask it is. Dean is outside the ring, he’s looking for a weapon, and he has…a bag of thumbtacks! That’s going to cause a lot of pain if Dean uses those.

Joey: Yes they will John. Now Dean’s back in the ring and he’s dumping the bag all over the ring! He grabs Raven by the hair and picks up his motionless body. Dean grabs Raven by the stomach and lifts him.

JBL: I think we’re about to see a spinebuster, no, Raven hits a knee to Dean oh my god Evenflow! Evenflow DDT on the thumbtacks!

Joey: I didn’t think that Raven had any fight left in him, but he’s climbing the ladder! He’s making his way up the fifteen-foot ladder slowly but surely. He better get up there quick because I think that Dean is getting up.

JBL: That he is. That man has a lot of fight still in him and I think Raven knows that. Raven sees Dean getting up and he’s jumping down from the ladder. Raven is walking over to the corner of the ring and he’s untying the turnbuckle cover.

Joey: Now that can’t be legal.

JBL: What are you talking about this a TLC match, everything is legal. Now Raven’s finished untying the cover, but don’t turn around!

Joey: A bloody Dean charges at Raven, but he side steps it at the last second, sending Dean shoulder first into the steel post. This is Raven’s chance to do something.

JBL: He has the to do something now. Raven is picking up the deadly kendo stick. Dean is getting up and Raven charges with the kendo stick, but Dean ducks under Raven and what a huge german suplex!

Joey: That was a great move on the champ’s part, but I think it took a toll on him too. He’s still managing to make it to the ladder and he’s climbing it. Raven is using the ropes to get up. Now he’s making his way to the ladder, but Dean doesn’t have that far to go.

JBL: Dean and Raven are at the top of the ladder now and they’re exchanging blows.

Joey: We’ve seen this before and it didn’t end well. Dean hits a hard right, and then Raven. Now Raven’s throwing jabs at Dean James. One, two, three, four, five jabs. Raven is standing on top of the ladder. We’re about to see a piledriver!

JBL: I think so Joey, and if Raven hits this it’ll be all over. Raven goes to lift Dean but Dean hold on to the ladder and sends Raven flying off with the reversal!

Joey: Dean is going for the title, he has it, and it’s all over.

Winner- Dean James
Time - 21:27

(Dean grabs the WCW Title brings it down and drops down from the ladder as Symphony of Destruction starts to play.)

Howard Finkel: Here’s your winner and still the WCW Undisputed Champion, “The Iceman” DEEAAANNNN JJJAAAMMMMEEESSSSS!!!

JBL: What a great main event! Hell, what a great FPV!

Joey: I agree with you there partner and Dean James is one hell of a champion.

(Dean James is on the turnbuckle bloody and beaten, but has his title and his giving the crowd the peace sign. He walks to the other turnbuckle, climbs it at gives another peace sign.)

(Then all of a sudden Randy Orton comes from the crowd and makes his way to the ring, behind Dean James.)

Joey: What the hell is this Orton doing out here? He already had his match.

JBL: It looks to me like he wants a piece of Dean James right now.

(Dean hops off the turnbuckle and turns around only to be hit across the face with a chair by Randy Orton.)

(Randy then sits Dean up on the turnbuckle and places the chair by it. He grabs Dean’s head and runs pulling Dean off the turnbuckle into a super RKO on the chair.)

Joey: No, no, no! They need to get security out here now to help Dean out.

JBL: Aw, give the kid a break Joey, so he got a sucker punch or two in; get over it.

(Randy Orton is now standing on the second rope taunting to a “booing” crowd as "Burn in My Light" starts to play.)

Joey: Randy Orton has super RKO’ed out champion now he’s gloating in the ring. Is this a promise of things to come, or did Randy just get lucky?

JBL: We’ll find out later this week. This is JBL and Joey Styles broadcasting from the WCW Rock the Vote FPV, out
