Michael Cole: It’s the home for Big Ben, premiere soccer and royalty… This is WCW Velocity live from London, England. Michael Cole & JBL at ringside.
JBL: Michael, we are in a city we’re Queen Elizabeth resides, in the presence of royalty… this wrestling god is humble for being here
Cole: Well, Mr. Wrestling God, how about we see what’s on the card tonight as we’re 2 weeks away from Rock The Vote. First, we have a Fatal Four Way of our newest members of WCW (someone talks in Cole’s
headset) Wait, It’s just been brought to my attention it’s now a 5 Man Battle Royal as the original four way competitors, Matt Hardy, Goldberg, Samoa Joe, Christian Cage and now Jeff Hardy will compete tonight
JBL: You have the never die attitude of Matt Hardy, the power of Goldberg, the speed & agility of Samoa Joe, the dexterity of Christian Cage & the daredevil tactics of Jeff Hardy… it’s going to be a good one
Cole: Also we have a Legend vs. Legend Killer match, as Randy Orton will face Hollywood Hogan one-on-one
JBL: Since Vince Russo pointed out Hogan’s age and the other wrestlers of the heyday, the younger starts like Randy Orton are looking to replace them and as Randy Orton does best; he rather kill ‘em
Cole: And finally in our main event, we have the WCW Champion Dean James & Sting in one corner, the NWO Intercontinental Champion Edge & the phenom the Undertaker in another, and the Irishman Finlay & Raven in the other one in a Texas Death Match
JBL: Cornette has given us a free-per-view style main event, which is sure to knock the socks off all the fans here tonight.
Cole: Why keep talking about it? Let’s get this show on the road
(“Live For The Moment” plays as one half of team extreme comes through the curtain)
Scott Hudson: Welcome ladies & gentlemen for another edition of WCW Velocity, this is a 5 Man Battle Royal with the winner must throw all other opponents over the ropes. Introducing first, from Cameron, North Carolina, Matt Hardy!
Cole: The superstar who believes in a “stronger than death” attitude has signed with WCW during a time that anyone can come and make a statement here in WCW
JBL: Cole, it’s simple, if Matt can get out the need to please these god forsaken fans he can claim the glory he couldn’t claim in WWE
Cole: What are you talking about? He’s a multi-time Tag team champion & Cruiserweight champion
JBL: I didn’t hear a mention of a World title…
(“Who’s next?” play as the former old WCW champion comes through the curtain)
Hudson: From, the only man who’s currently undefeated in WCW, Goldberg!
Cole: The last time listed, Goldberg’s final record was 283 matches straight won before finally pinned in the old WCW and in this WCW he’s still has not been pinned or submitted
JBL: Very good, now win a World title and your showing me something besides being a muscle-bound bald headed… and I quote “Stone Cold knockoff”
(“” as the crowd starts chanting “Joe, Joe, Joe” as he comes through the curtain with his stained towel)
Hudson: From the Isle of Samoa, the only man in TNA to hold 18-month long undefeated streak, Samoa Joe!
Cole: Here’s a man who’s come to the new WCW looking for recognition for shutting down a rival of WCW’s two months ago
JBL: He should be, Cole. WWE Unleashed was a pest in WCW side, which was ended. But the superstars of WCW started, Samoa Joe finished it. I see a title shot in this man’s future
(“Takeover” plays as the Instant Classic comes through the smoke and stands with his back turned to the ring showing the bright yellow “C” on his hoodie with D’Amore all in the camera, as usual)
Hudson: From Tampa, Florida by way of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, being accompanied to the ring by Coach Scott D’Amore he is the Instant Classic Christian Cage!
Cole: He left WWE because he felt he wasn’t pushed properly but once he came to TNA he was the biggest thing to join the promotion and now he’s in WCW along with Coach D’Amore, formerly of Team Canada.
JBL: He did what it took to become World champion. This man should be applauded for such a great move and aligning himself with D’Amore just puts him even closer to become champion.
(As “2Extreme” plays the final man of the battle royal comes to the ramp as his pyro shoots off from his feet)
Hudson: From Cameron, North Carolina, he is known as the enigma, the modern day daredevil, Jeff Hardy!
Cole: Jeff Hardy has fought through a lot of demons in his career to be the position he’s in. From being on top of the tag team world in WWE his first run then going to TNA to re-evaluate himself to coming back to WWE and winning the Intercontinental championship, Jeff is a sure fire miracle story
JBL: Miracles get you no where in wrestling, Cole. Its what you do in that ring is what leaves a legacy behind. If Jeff can stay focused he has a chance to leave that for his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids…but its nothing like the legacy of the wrestling god
Cole: From WWE Champion to ring commentator in your prime, some story…
JBL: Keep testing me, Cole. I’ll knock your head off straight back to the states
5-Man Battle Royal
Matt Hardy vs. Goldberg vs. Samoa Joe vs. Christian Cage vs. Jeff Hardy
(All 5 men are trying there best not to be thrown over as Team Extreme are working together most of the match. Samoa Joe is doing his best to save his energy…that’s until)
Cole: And Samoa Joe is just standing in the corner… and there he goes and he kicks Matt down… and Jeff doesn’t see him, and a Full Nelson Suplex to Jeff
JBL: Someone woke up the sleeping giant
Cole: And Golberg is in the corner trying to toss Christian over… and here comes Joe and they both push Goldberg over but Cage hangs on. Matt & Jeff are back up and both men knock down Joe & Goldberg. Clothesline by Matt to Goldberg, Jeff with a Flying Elbow to Joe.
JBL: Some TNA love from Jeff to Joe
Cole: Look at Christian, D’Amore just gave him a damn hockey stick. But he’s not coming back in the ring
JBL: It’s call picking your spot, Cole
Cole: Matt picks up Goldberg and tosses him into the corner… Matt ducks down and I think it’s time for Poetry in Motion… Jeff runs but Goldberg catches him and tosses him over & Jeff is eliminated
JBL: Bye, bye daredevil.
Cole: And a swift kick to the ribs by Goldberg to Matt…Goldberg picks him up tosses him off the ropes…Spear! Spear by Goldberg and it may be time for a Jackhammer… and Samoa Joe locks him the Coquita Clutch to Matt and he’s choking him out!
JBL: He picked his spot and got it… and here comes Cage and he’s about to pick his spot just in time as the
ref is checking on Matt
Cole: Goldberg is watching Joe & Matt but he doesn’t see Christian… and Cage lands the hockey stick to the back of Goldberg! But he didn’t even flinch! Goldberg doesn’t look too happy… Cage off the ropes… but Cage slides under his legs and goes to the ring apron…
JBL: Haha, Cage is too fast for him. Like I said, you have to have intelligence in the wrestling ring and Christian is full of it
Cole: Oh yeah, he’s full of it. And Goldberg off the ropes and he’s gonna Spear Cage off the apron… but Cage jumps and Goldberg lands to the outside on his own momentum and Goldberg is eliminated
JBL: And Samoa Joe is trying to throw Matt over but Matt isn’t going out
Cole: Elbow shots to Joe’s head and he’s back in…Matt grabs Joe, and lands the Side Effect…goes to the top and here comes … a Leg Drop from the second rope…and he may be looking for a Twist Of Fate…
JBL: …Which will do nothing. You have to toss the person out
Cole: He has it locked, he swings but Joe pushes him off and Cage low bridges him as he was still on the apron, pulls down the top rope and Matt goes flying out and its down to Christian Cage & Samoa Joe
JBL: This is what wrestling is all about. Cage & Joe are notorious in TNA for their matches, Joe hasn’t forgotten getting screwed out of the NWA World title
Cole: And there they go, right hands going back and forth… and Joe gets the upper hand…Cage is dazed, and a swift kick to the ribs of Christian Cage… Joe off the ropes and lands the One-Foot Dropkick… Joe is cooking here… tosses Cage to the corner and there’s the repeated jabs to the face
JBL: You can’t go hand-to-hand with Samoa Joe, move Cage!
Cole: And Cage is dazed, and Joe picks him up in the corner and he may be looking for the Muscle Buster… and D’Amore is on the ring apron
JBL: There’s Cage’s insurance
Cole: And the ref is distracted once again and Cage rams his thumbs to Joe’s eyes as D’Amore jumps back down on the arena floor…Cage looking for the Unprettier but Joe shoves him off into the ropes… Cage catches himself on the ropes… Joe runs after him but Joe stops his momentum
JBL: Smart man, but an even smarter manager…
Cole: Joe goes after Cage again but D’Amore grabs Joe’s feet and Joe is trying to grab him but here comes Cage and a Standing Dropkick and Samoa Joe goes over
Winner – Christian Cage

Hudson: Your winner, with Coach Scott D’Amore, the Instant Classic Christian Cage!
Cole: (As Cage is in the ring doing his double C’s taunt next to an overexcited D’Amore) And Christian has stole one as he picks up his first win in WCW
JBL: If this is any indication of what’s to come from Cage & D’Amore, we may be seeing a new era coming.
Cole: And Goldberg is back up! And he chases both men out the ring and John, Goldberg does not look happy
JBL: (As the fans are chanting “Goldberg, Goldberg”) This may not be over between Cage & Goldberg as both men debut tonight but Cage comes out on top
Cole: But at what cost? Since Russo’s inception of promoting the new era of talent, the legends like Goldberg have a lot of proving to do
(Local commercial airs, as it comes back Vince Russo is seen in his office with Hollywood Hogan)
Russo: I can care less what you think I’m doing to the NWO, they’re old news now. People wanna see factions like S.E.X, MCMG…guys who are young with fresh talent
Hogan: I’m a legend in wrestling, Russo. You cannot kill something that has a legacy already, brother
Russo: True, but I can make sure your destroyed to the point you won’t even remembered
Hogan: What happened to you, Russo? Your back as GM but you’ve lost it, brother
Russo: Lost it? No, I’m just a lot smarter… (“Burn In My Light” is heard) don’t you have a Legend Killer to face, legend?
Hogan: Your gonna get yours, Russo. One day your gonna get yours.
(As Hogan leaves, a close up of Russo with a sick, sadistic smile is shown as the camera switches over of Randy Orton coming down to the ring)
Cole: What’s gotten into Vince Russo? Even since he lost to WCW, he’s…well… pretty much lost his mind. He’s turning on the men who, hands down, helped his career in WCW
JBL: A career that ended up no where, Cole. Those men let him down and it’s time now for a new era of wrestlers to further put WCW on the map. Russo has chose the side he’s on
(“A New World Order” plays as Hollywood comes down. He’s not his regular self as he now realizes what his former friend Vince Russo has become)
Hudson: From Venice Beach, California, the legendary Hollywood Hulk Hogan!
Cole: First, he comes to WCW and makes a impact and gets a title shot for the Intercontinental championship and even re-starts the New World Order. Now he’s lost a friend in Russo, who’s trying to kill his career & a teammate in Edge who agrees with Russo and won’t talk to him
JBL: Maybe its time for Hollywood to hang it up… he cannot win this time. He has the opportunity to escape before the situation gets worse but maybe its too late as he faces a Randy Orton who’s not only a
Legend Killer he’s on a hot winning streak
Cole: These men face one another before at WWE’s 2006 Summerslam with Hogan getting the win. Can he do it again?
Legend vs. Legend Killer
Randy Orton vs. Hollywood Hogan
(Orton has taken control of the majority of the match with Hogan, obviously distracted, is trying his best to at the least avoid injury.)
Cole: And Orton lands his signature Inverted Back breaker…the pin… and 2 count… and he locks in the Headlock keeping Hogan down
JBL: Like I said, Hogan cannot beat the battle of age. A new era is coming and he’s got to understand it won’t involve him
Cole: But Hogan beginning to tap his feet on the map as he’s trying to get a little momentum going
JBL: (As the claps begin) And this damn crowd is getting behind him, Orton has to fight through this
Cole: And I don’t think he can as Hogan begins to get up… and he’s up… pushes Orton off the ropes and Orton tries to hit a Clothesline but that just bounces off Hogan… there’s a right but Hogan is pumping up
JBL: Oh no, not this crap
Cole: Another right (as the crowd goes “YOU!”) and Hogan is pointing at Orton and here comes Hollywood… right hand to Orton, another one, and the big wind-up… and Hogan knocks Orton down with the Haymaker
JBL: You cannot allow Hogan to get this crowd behind him…
Cole: It’s too late… Hogan picks up Orton, tosses him off the ropes and lands the Big Boot to Orton’s face and it may be time for the Atomic Leg Drop
JBL: Look who’s coming down to the ring… our GM Vince Russo
Cole: What’s he doing out here? And Hogan bounces off the ropes and now Hogan sees him and is going to confront him
JBL: But he’s taking his eye off Orton… and look at the Legend Killer, he’s up… ball game!
Cole: Hogan turns back around… RKO! RKO to Hogan! The pin… and he pulls his head up
JBL: Humiliation time, Cole.
Cole: Where’s Undertaker? Where’s Edge? …And another RKO to Hollywood Hogan… the pin… and it’s finally over
Winner – Randy Orton
Time – 7:45
Hudson: Your winner the Legend Killer, Randy Orton!
Cole: Hogan has to find a way to get Vince Russo out of his head and focus or he’s going to start a trend he’s not use to… a losing streak
JBL: (As Orton doing his wide arm taunt with Russo next to him yelling at a unconscious Hogan) No, he has to finally admit his time is done and it’s time for the new era to begin
(As Dean & Sting are sitting in a locker room together)
Dean: Your ready for this shit?
Sting: Yeah, it’s now or never. Hey, just remember this is one night, Iceman…if I’m chosen for Rock the Vote, there’s no team and I’m not holding back
Dean: I know and trust me I’m ready when you are…
Sting: Then let’s go kick some ass
Cole: (As they leave) It’s the champ Dean James, Sting, Edge, Undertaker, Finlay & Raven all in one ring… the Texas Death Match and it’s next!
(Commercial airs for the new WCW Shopaholic Store now on WCW.com… as it comes back…)
Cole: We’re ready for our main event but during the break, the scene was horrid right outside the entrance way
(A clip is shown of a bloody Undertaker who’s unconscious)
Cole: I have a funny feeling this is the work of Randy Orton or someone who’s starting to believe in Russo’s new era theory
JBL: Probably Michael, but we can’t prove that. But what about Edge? Hogan was laid out by Orton earlier and Undertaker is out… who’s gonna come out for him?
Hudson: Ladies & gentlemen, it is time for the main event of the evening…
(“TNA Theme” plays and Jim Cornette comes out looking very upset)
Cornette: Ladies & gentlemen I am switching this match to an Tag Team Battle Royal… no more pin fall this is now over-the-top elimination match due to the injuries sustained to the Undertaker…
Hudson: Introducing first…
(“Irish Horns” plays as Finlay comes down first then “Scream” plays and Raven comes down behind him)
Hudson: From Belfast, Ireland, Finlay and his tag team partner from the Bowery, Raven!
Cole: An unorthodox tag team here both men looking to qualify for a match against Dean James at Rock the Vote…what do you think of the changes to this match?
JBL: For a tag team it puts everyone on high already and for this powerhouse team they are the team to fear and the Iceman is the last person that needs to face both of these men in the same ring here tonight
(“Symphony of Destruction” plays and both Dean James & Sting come down. Dean has his title over his shoulder with a peace sign in the air & Sting is pointing the bat out to the crowd)
Hudson: From Victoria, Australia, he is the reigning WCW Undisputed Champion, the Iceman Dean James and from Venice Beach, California, the Icon Sting!
Cole: This is one epic team, John. A true sign of past & present with the champ & the icon
JBL: But there lies they mystery, Cole. Can Dean make sure Sting doesn’t feel like he must protect his legacy and eliminate the one man Russo praises as the future of the new era of wrestling…He cant promise that Cole and that’s why these two won’t work well together
(“Never Gonna Stop” plays and the Rated R Superstar comes out to the arena with blood on his hands)
Hudson: From Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the NWO Intercontinental Champion, Edge!
Cole: Does that answer your question on who would do that to Taker?
JBL: It’s simple, Cole. Undertaker is a undisputed legend in this buisness and Edge sees the way of the new era with Russo and he’s taken out a piece of the puzzle
Cole: But who’s gonna team with him?
Main Event – Tag Team Battle Royal
WCW Undisputed Champion Iceman Dean James & Sting vs. Finlay & Raven vs. NWO Intercontinental Champion Edge
(Edge comes in the ring as Finlay, Dean, Sting & Raven all watch him… he stands in the middle of the ring, looks at Sting and spears him)
Cole: Spear to Sting! And he’s eliminating himself? No, he rolls under the ropes…remember to be eliminated you must go over the top rope
JBL: And look at the gesture he’s giving Raven…
Cole: The finger across the throat in the direction of Raven…
JBL: That means it’s the end for the legends, Cole… He made his point tonight
Cole: And now Raven & Finlay are double teaming on Dean as he’s helpless to defend himself with Sting knocked out
JBL: And look at Edge, a proud man leaving here tonight as he’s single-handedly taken out the NWO from the inside
(As Edge is walking backwards as Hollywood Hogan comes down turns him around and they begin to fight as the crowd is going crazy)
Cole: Give it to him, Hogan!
JBL: We’re not suppose to be bias, Michael. Relax, Edge will take care of the old garbage
(As Edge & Hogan continue to fight it out, Dean is finally beginning to fight back…delivering hard shots to Finlay & Raven… he runs off the ropes, attempts a Crossbody but they catch him until a revived Sting jumps from the top rope out of no where and lands a Missile Dropkick knocking both men down)
Cole: Alright, and Sting and Dean are beginning to pick up the pace but outside Edge begins to get the upperhand… and he tosses Hogan into the guard rail…goes under the ring… and pulls out a chair!
JBL: Con-chair-to time!
(As Edge is attempting to kill Hogan, Sting lands a Stinger Splash to Finlay as Dean throws Raven off the ropes for the Main Event Spear… but Raven moves out the way and lands a Drop Toe Hold and stops Dean’s momentum and unfortunately Sting doesn’t see this happen as he’s watching what Edge is doing outside the ring)
Cole: Edge lifts the chair but Sting takes it away!
JBL: He better pay attention to what’s going on in the ring
Cole: Sting turns around and Raven lands a Dropkick sending the chair into Sting’s face and sending Sting to the outside
Hudson: Sting has been eliminated
Cole: And now it’s down to the champion Dean James against Finlay & Raven… as Sting is knocked outside and Edge leaving, laughing up the ramp
JBL: His work is done he can go to the back knowing, like I said, single-handedly eliminating the NWO
and further the new era movement
Cole: And Dean James is backing up into the corner and he has no where to go… but he climbs to the top and jumps over both men
JBL: He better run for his life
Cole: James to the opposite corner… runs up the turnbuckle… and takes out Finlay & Raven with a Whisper in the Wind! And Dean is back up… off the ropes but a Double Clothesline by Finlay & Raven takes the champion down
JBL: And finally the champion is down and it time to take out this piece of trash
Cole: But both Raven & Finlay begin to argue. And I think each of them want to throw the champion out and it’s no longer about teams, John, now it’s about ego
JBL: No! This is what’s going to cause a problem
Cole: And Raven & Finlay get into it… and their going back and forth… Raven tosses Finlay off the ropes but Finlay counters with a Shoulder Block… Finlay bounces back off the ropes, hops over Raven, and Raven jumps up and tosses him out
JBL: What the hell are you doing? Focus on the champ!
Hudson: Finlay has been eliminated
JBL: This is a load of… (Edge comes back into the arena) maybe it’s not a total waste
Cole: Edge is coming back with a new chair? Remember he never was eliminated, he just left…storms past Dean and lands a shot to Raven and Raven is teetering…and another shot to Raven and Raven has blood slowly dripping from his head but he won’t go out the ring
JBL: And Dean is just watching this like nothing…wait he’s picking his spot… wait Edge not yet!
Cole: Don’t be bias, John. Edge runs again, but Dean is behind him…chair shot to Raven and Raven goes out and Dean lifts Edge over with him and it’s over
Hudson: Raven & Edge are eliminated
Winner – Dean James & Sting
Time – 11:44
Hudson: Your winner the WCW Undisputed Champion Dean James & the icon Sting!
Cole: (as Edge looks in the ring with a shock on his face) Dean James has done it and Edge is livid!
JBL: (While Edge is kicking the announcer’s table as Dean is given his title) Edge had a brilliant plan, the plan of an opportunist, but damn Dean James screwed that up
Cole: Edge tried to cheat, John, but the champion took advantage of Edge’s momentum and… wait! Here comes Randy Orton… but Dean is arguing with Edge… RKO! RKO to the champion! Iceman Dean James is out cold! This has to be payback earlier this week at a house show and Dean shut Orton down
JBL: At Rock the Vote, Orton faces Cena for the #1 contender’s spot and Randy is heavily favored in this match…(as Orton picks up the title) and we may be looking at the future World champion right here in the Legend killer
Cole: For John Brashaw Layfield, I’m Michael Cole… Goodnight from London, England!
