Iceman dean james is walking by himself to his locker room but then christian cage comes and connects with a chair shot to the back of the head
and begins to kick him to his ribs & back
Christian Cage: hey iceman the show is starting soon... i hope you make it... cause your tv title is mine...
(a remix of the wcw nitro/thunder song hits and the pyro goes off)
Mike Tenay: welcome wrestling fans around the world to the premiere show that will reignite the flame also known as wcw, And with me is none other then one of the greatest announcers ever, bobby the brain hennan
Bobby: I got a call from jim cornette about a week ago saying, bobby, would you like to be part of greatness, would you like to be part of the new WCW? and i answered, no jim the question is would you like to include greatness to your show? and he said yes
Mike Tenay: well bobby thats great and tonight we have an amazing card tonight, we start with the first ever womens title match which will pit former wwf intercontinential champion chyna in the ring with amy zidam to determine the 1st ever womens champion
Bobby: no matter what happens one thing is for sure, the male audience will definatly go home happy
Mike Tenay: that may be true but this next match will send everyone home happy
Bobby hennan: (cuts him off) its going to be the Iceman Dean James going one on one with somebody, god forbid they tell us who right?
Mike Tenay: yeah really, and dont forget that match is for the WCW television Championship but enough about that, we also have our main event, Raven will go one on one with Sting to determine the wcw champion
Bobby henan: thats going to be a rollercoaster ride if ive ever seen one
Mike Tenay: you know, in the old wcw that was a match that although alot of people wanted to see it never happened
(chosen one hits and vince russo and jim cornette make their way to the ring, russo takes a mic)
Vince Russo: im gonna make this short an sweet, this wcw will NOT be the bullshit wcw that was basically ran by a politition and a 7ft tall asshole. I assure you that. what this WILL be is the home of the guys who bust there asses every night for each and every one of you (the crowd cheers loudly) now im done wasting your time so heres my boss Mr. James E. Cornette.
(jim takes the mic)
Jim Cornette: Mr. Russo, for the most part i agree with what your saying 100%. but i do have a couple of announcements. First, our annual may fpv wcw, slamborre will take place may 13th. (crowd gives a slight pop) and the next thing i would like to adress is something Mr.Russo did earlier today
(a vid is shown of iceman dean james manager, amy asking for a title shot against anyone, it skips to russo coming out and saying she would face chyna for the 1st womens title)
Jim Cornette: now i have no problem with you making matches, but you cant bring in anyone you want, Ill let it slide this time, but dont do it again (russo shakes his head yes) and change your damn music, your not jeff jarrett, now lets get this show on the road and crowd the first ever US champion
(break the walls down hits and chris jericho makes his way to the ring)
Announcer scott hudson: welcome to the thunderzone... the following contest is scheduled for one fall and is the opening contest for WCW thunder, Introducing first weighing in at 232 (editors note, i think thats right) pounds from manhattan, NY, The liontamer chris jericho
(as russo leaves jim cornette sits down at the announcers position)
Jim Cornette: hows it going guys
Mike Tenay: good
Bobby hennan: fine
Jim Cornette: thats good, i thought i'd sit in on this one, is that okay with you two
Tenay & Hennan: yes sure go right ahead
Mike Tenay: back to buisness, Chris jericho is most known for being the 1st undisputed heavyweight champion in the WWE
Bobby Hennan: yeah but in MWC he met a human road block named raven that he couldnt overcome
Mike tenay: lost his title and never had the chance to get it back
(booyaka 619 hits and rey mysterio cage hits the ring)

Jim: Now this is what i call an opening match
Match 1 : Chris Jericho vs Rey Mysterio - United states Championship
(Jericho has controlled most of the match with power & technical moves which gives him the clear advantage, including catching Mysterio from mid-air
with a Dropkick as he attempted a Crossbody from the top rope. Jericho is beginning to wear him down enough to go for the Walls of Jericho)
Bobby Hennan: too bad for that size difference mysterio is giving up
mike tenay: it's a very big factor in this match as jericho has mysterio with a knee to back/face lock combination
bobby: just go for the walls man, why even beat around the bush here?
mike tenay: this is chris jericho we're talking about bobby, he's proving his attitude is bigger than winning the match
(Mysterio is trying to fight his way up, finally gets to a standing position with elbows to jericho's gut but jericho still has the sleeper-like
hold on Mysterio....mysterio eyes the corner, runs up the corner turnbuckle and lands a reverse ddt)
mike tenay: beautiful counter by rey as he needs to start building up some momentum... off the ropes, lands a clothesline...another one...
...and then lands a spinning wheel kick to jericho's face
bobby hennan: talk about getting into someone's grill...what a kick
mike tenay: looks like Mysterio... is going for the Lionsault
(mysterio attempts the Lionsault but Jericho puts his knees up and mysterio lands hard... Jericho gets up and goes for the Lionsault but mysterio
puts his knees up)
mike tenay: counter after counter for the same move... who's going to get the upper hand here
bobby hennan: but it looks like mysterio is going to go for the pin this time
mike tenay: grabs the legs & flips over, beautiful bridging pin here....1 ...2... we almost had a new US champion there
Bobby hennan: is he going for the same pin again? what is this wrestling dejavu
(Mysterio goes for the bridging pin again but this time is powered out of the pin and gets tossed into the ref)
mike tenay: and there goes the ref
Bobby hennan: dont check on the ref, pay attention to the match, mysterio
Cornette: That's one thing about wrestling fellas always keep your eye on the opponent
mike tenay: mysterio still checking to see if the ref is ok... but there's Jericho ... low blow to mysterio... and there's the roll up but he has the tights
Bobby hennan: look the ref is fine
mike tenay: 1....2.... 3... dammit! chris jericho has once again cheated his way to victory

Tenay: it's not right how jericho used a low blow and still used the tights to win, what, he didnt think he could beat the man without it?
Jim Cornette: probably not, which is sad
Bobby henan: yeah but the record book will say in the new wcw's first match, chris jericho defeated rey mysterio and became the first us champion
Mike: and whats sad is, thats all that really matters
cornette: I would reverse this decision but i have a gm to check on...
(commercial break)
(backstage, vince russo is seen on the phone)
Vince Russo: yeah i know the show is starting off great, i wish that match ended on a clean note but when they have their anything goes rematch next week rey will get his shot at revenge (jim cornette walks in)
Jim Cornette: who was that
Vince Russo: dont worry about it
Jim Cornette: whatever, (pause) i gotta admit, i got a really good feeling about this company already, its going to be better than the old wcw ever thought it could be
Vince Russo: yeah
(Chris Sabin comes in the office)
Sabin: Cornette i need to know if my match is accepted
Jim Cornette: I havent talked to Edge yet
(Edge walks in)
Edge: Hey guys, minus you Sabin
Sabin: you accepting my challenge?
Edge: Uh, no
Vince Russo: Ah, Edge i wanted to see you... at Starrcade you will face and opponent of Cornette's choosing for a future title shot
Edge: (picks up Cornette's racket and starts messing with it) really? i should've been a fan favorite a long time ago
Cornette: and it will be Booker T, granted he doesn't win the US title tonight
Edge: sounds good to me...(stars to walk out and then cracks sabin in the head with it)... next time kid, think twice challenging a former world champion
(camera goes to the ring, sympahany of destruction hits and amy zidan with iceman dean james make their way to the ring)
Mike Tenay: Edge making a huge impact and he hasn't even wrestled here yet. but bobby, who was Vince Russo was talking to?
Bobby Hennan: who knows, like the other Vince in this buisness he's not the most trusted person in wrestling
Mike Tenay: Ladies & gentleman, its time for our second match of the night, amy zidan goes one on one with chyna now
(amy is standing in the ring doing her best brock lesnar imitation with Dean james standing outside)
Bobby: I hope they have an EMT standing by cause that sweet and innocent little thing is about to suffer a wrestling tragedy
(9th wonder of the world hits and chyna goes to the ring)
Bobby: and here comes the toughest he/she of all time, chyna
Mike: dont let her hear you say that i dont want her coming over here
Match 2 : Chyna vs Amy Zidian - Women's title match
(Chyna overpowers Amy for most of the match as she tries to seemingly kill her in the ring. From Clothesline's to Hair Tosses, Amy looks like she has went too far looking for a challange. As Dean looks on, it may be the end for Amy)
Bobby: miss zidian is starting to look like a pancake out there against the 9th wonder
Mike Tenay: Chyna is no stranger to the ring being the first woman to hold the wwf intercontinental title
.. off the ropes goes Amy... big boot to the face
Bobby: Oww, the humanity! Hey Dean, go help the girl
Mike Tenay: I think she's finally going to end it here.... powerbomb setup by chyna
(Chyna powerbombs amy...goes for the pin but she kicks out at 2. Frustrated, Chyna goes for another powerbomb)
Bobby: Another one? Im about to go to the ring and throw in the towel
Mike: Wait! look at this, Amy is trying to punch her way out...hurricanrana by Amy.... off the ropes, clothesline... and another
and another
Bobby: Finally, she's fighting back...i began to worry about the poor girl
Mike Tenay: Here she comes off the ropes....Chyna counters and Amy is lifted almost to the roof as Chyna lands the One man Flapjack
Bobby: Good god, man! Now someone needs to stop this...
(After the flapjack, Chyna steps on the back of Amy's head literally trying to crush her skull and sufficate her in the mat)
Mike Tenay: Chyna becoming relentless here with the shots to the back of the head
Bobby: Just pin her already
Mike: Chyna picks Amy up... another powerbomb? no here comes the finishing move that won her the intercontinental title
(Chyna lands the Pedigree and goes for the pin...1 ...2... but Dean pulls off the ref's shoe which gets his attention and stops the count)
Bobby: I tell you these Aussies are weird... he doesn't pull the ref out the ring.. he takes his shoe
Mike: And now chyna looks irate... she goes ot the ropes and her and dean are having it out
Bobby: I dont know if to call this a manly arguement or a cat fight
Mike: And i think Chyna wants to make this arguement up close & personal
(Chyna begins to go outside but Amy catches her by the tights)
Mike Tenay: amy has chyna by the tights.... 1 .... 2... 3... she did it! she's done it!
Bobby: Someone wake me up! tell me i didn't just see that?
Mike Tenay: yes you did, amy has won!

(Kronik are in the ring looking out towards the crowd)
Mike Tenay: We're back with our newest MWC acqisition.. the dominant tag team...Kronik
Brian Adams: Ah, back in a place we call WCW
Bryan Clake: Yes, yes the home to real wrestlers
Admas: That's right, because being in mwc was like....being in the club full of overweight female teens
Clarke: WHAT!? why do you say that?
Adams: It was overcrowded, full of picky, whiny bitches
(the crowd laughs as Clarke gets a kick out of what Adams said)
Clarke: That was funny... even though you look high
Adams: As a kite
Clarke: Your right but WCW will be different for us and this time we will have our tag titles
Adams: But Mr. Cornettey says we nee a team to actually face for them but there aint a team that can mess up
Clarke: What? dont you mean Cornette, need a team, and mess with us? I forgot your ass is high
Adams: It's only a little... you want some?
(All of a suddden, a siren goes off and LAX makes their way to the ramp with Konnan in his wheelchair)
Tenay: Uh-oh looks like LAX didn't like that comment about no teams in WCW
Bobby: (scarcastically) ReallY? I didnt know he said that
Konnan: Well, well, well if it isn't Kronik... a tag team which is made up of MWC/WCW's portray of minorities by putting two
half baked gringos and making them into weed heads. Hey Cornette, tell the rest of those suits to try a little harder to come
up with a gimmick
Clarke: Hey look Brian, it's Kojak and his deportees! (The crowd laughs) What the hell do you want, Konnan?
Konnan: It's plain and simle Bryan. You two obviously kiss enough ass to be signed from MWC to WCW when three hispanic stars
such as LAX weren't even attempted to be contacted when MWC was around. So I see it like this you need opponents and we want
the titles so how about you tell you butt buddy Cornette to give us a match
(Clarke leans on the ropes as he attempted to go after Konnan but Adams holds him back)
Adams: Hey, you do look like Kojak. But anyways, first Cornettey isn't our butt buddy... he just sucks cause he won't hit the
fat one with us
Clarke: And two are you serious? Go ask Cornette to face a jumping bean & the mexican mr. clean?
(The crowd goes hysterical in laughter)
Adams: Listen, listen. Take the kids back across the border where you stole them from and find us someone else.. i dunno bull fighters or something?
Konnan: What you say? You two grigoes have just punched your ticket to a permanent dirt nap! Odele! to live and die in LAX!
Clarke: Nah, its to live & die ridin' high!

Mike TenaY: We'll have to see what Jim Cornette says but it looks like the Lain american Xchange wants to face Kronik to crown

Bobby: I dont know whats more wrong... the fact that Brian Adams had weed in a wrestling ring or Brian Adams calling LAX kojak, a jumping bean & mr. clean

(back in the ring iceman has a mic)
Iceman dean james: okay mate, look i issued an open challenge to anyone who wanted to accept it, then I get attacked by Christian Cage (long pause) so Cage how about
you bring your ass out here now (long pause) fine im leaving and ill drag your ass out here
Announcer Mike hudson: from miami florida weighing in at 225 lbs he is the instant classic Christian Cage
Mike Tenay: heres a guy who made a big impact in tna, hes a former 2 time nwa champion
Jim Cornette: and he has one of the biggest ego's in the world
Christian Cage: you made an open challange, i stepped up and answered.. you assaulted me earlier in the week and now your upset cause i got a little payback?
I'm only here to collect my title and finish what i started
Iceman dean james: you talk big, christian...(leans on the rope) how about you come in here and face me like the creepy little bastard you are..

(can you dig it hits and booker T hits the ring)
Mike Tenay: apparently dean now has not one but 2 challengers
Booker T: You said open challange homeboy?... You need to watch what you say next time cause you didnt say how many challangers you we're looking for
Bobby Henan: Here comes booker which makes it 2 former world champions in the same match against our hollywood superstar
Mike tenay: can dean hold against these two main eventers?
Match 3: 3 way dance (elimination) for wcw t.v title : Iceman Dean James (c) vs Christian Cage vs Booker T
(From early on, Christian Cage controlled the match while Booker T & Iceman are being dominated. Booker has taken most of the beating but as Christian misses with a clothesline
and catches a Book End, Iceman lands a super kick to Booker and they all fall)
tenay: these men are literally putting themselves through hell tonight
bobby: and who can blame them, wearing gold around here means something... it means you've must of beaten some people to earn it
tenay: Iceman slowly getting up... Booker is also up .. so is Cage.... kick to the gut my Booker getting ready for that scissors kick
Bobby: But where's Christian going? And why did him and Iceman look at each other?
(as booker comes off the ropes to hit the scissors kick, Iceman lifts his head, kicks booker and lands a belly-to-belly)
Mike tenay: Nice belly-to-belly counter by dean james
Bobby: what the hell is christian doing?
(Cage points in the air as a salute to eddie guerrero and hits the frog splash on booker T, goes for the pin and eliminates booker from the match)
Bobby hennan: did i just see teamwork from these two?
Mike tenay: it's a very weird situation here with these two as its now down to christian cage & dean james... and here they go! trading shot after shot
to the face
Hennan: forget the posh restaurants & diners, this is a straight out LA bar fight
Tenay: Iceman misses with that haymaker... cage connects with his knocking dean to the mat
Hennan: His building up some steam here
(Cage bounces off the ropes, but misses the clothesline... comes from the otherside and misses again... comes back another time but
this time Iceman lifts him up onto his shoulders)
mike tenay: Is he really?, yes iceman is going for the undertaker's snake eyes combination
(Cage's face lands into the turnbuckle, iceman off the ropes but he misses the spinning wheel kick)
Hennan: Ooh, crash and burn there
Tenay: Cage picks up iceman and throws him into the corner.... turns his bank to taunt to the crowd
Hennan: what a cocky bastard this christian is
Tenay: There he goes for the body splash
(But Cage misses landing chest first in the corner while dean is leaning on the ropes next to him. Iceman then gets up and starts repeated
shots to Cage's lower back, then grabs Christian around the waist)
Mike Tenay: Iceman looking for a German Suplex out of the corner
Bobby Hennan: But Cage is holding on for dear life
Mike Tenay: more shots by dean... goes for it and this time Cage lets go but he lands on his feet... Iceman thinks he's hit the german
Booby Hennan: Turn around dean!
Mike Tenay: Too late! Christian grabs Dean and sets him up for the Unprettier
Bobby Hennan: But this guy is so cocky is screaming out to the crowd like he's won already... geez Tenay look at Dean squirm
Mike Tenay: He's trying to reverse this... and he does... Oh my god! he's just lifted christian into the air!...
it looks like a verterbreaker setup, a reverse box office smash!
Bobby hennan: go for the pin!

Mike tenay: (as the crowd goes crazy) he's won! he keeps his title in a hell of a match!
Announcer Mike hudson: and the winner of the match and still wcw television champion... Theee Iceman Dean James!

bobby hennan: And he keeps his tv title on top of that
Mike Tenay: (as dean is standing on the top rope with title in hand celebrating) let's go like backstage with Jeremy Borash and
Raven's opponent for tonight's main event
(sting is seen backstage with Jeremy borash)
JB: sting in just a few miutes you face raven for the WCW title
Sting: no in just a few minutes i go into a war with a crazed pshycopath who would like nothing more then to tear me apart, but thats not going to happen. Raven's good but he can't stop the sting of the stinger, no matter how hard he tries, now JB (puts his hand on his shoulder) buddy, its showtime
JB: sting and raven coming up next

(a raven promo airs)
Raven: the time draws near and my destiny has a dark clowd hanging over it that goes by the name, sting. Now sting destiny and fate are 2 different things. Your fate is to lose any hope of being wcw champion which will be part of my destiny which is to be the greatest champion ever. Or as far as russo and cornette are concerned, the worst. the time is here, sting can you hear me rathing at your chamber door? quote to raven nevermore.
(back at the ring)
Mike Tenay: ive known him for years and i still dont understand him
Bobby: i've learned a thing or two when it comes to Raven... and that is... just nod and agree
Announcer Mike hudson: this is the wcw main event of the evening, and it is for the wcw world championship. (pause) and i have just been informed that this match is anything goes. So (name of city/state) Are you Ready, One more time, Are you ready. Then for the thousands in attendance and the millions watching at home lllllllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeettttttttttttttsssssssssss get ready to rumbleeeeeeeee.
(seek and destroy hits and sting makes his way to the ring)
Announcer Mike hudson: first weighting in at 262 lbs, from venice beach, California, he is the former 11 time world champion, and the master of the scorpion death drop, scorpion death lock combination, ladies and gentlemen, this is sting (crowd sheers loudly)
Announcer Mike hudson: and his opponent...
(ravenscream hits and raven hits the ring)
Announcer Mike hudson: and from the bowery, weighing in at 245 lbs, he is the current wcw champion and a former nwa champion, he is the master of the evenflow ddt, this is Rrrrrrrrrraven(crowd cheers just as loud)
Main event for WCW title : Raven(c) vs Sting
(raven and sting stare each other down and start yelling and arguing)
Hennan: what is this ? who argue's the most?
Tenay: No but it seems like Raven's had enough... he slaps Sting!
Hennan: Translation - bitch!
tenay: sting slaps him back... raven is sent reeling into the ropes!
hennan: Translation - no your the bitch, bitch!
tenay: and raven comes right back with a right hand... an another... an another and into the corner sting goes as raven contines
his onslaught of fist to the face
(Repeated closed fists to Sting's face into the discus punch has him off-balance. sting tries to fight back but raven keeps countering and he attempts to leave the ring, sting makes it half-way
out until Raven pulls him by the hair and drags him back in the ring)
tenay: sting looks like dead weight as raven sets him up and hits a piledriver...goes for the pin...2-count
hennan: sting kicks out there and wait where is raven going?
tenay: he's going under the ring and gets a chair...lays it down...now what is he doing
hennan: picks up sting again? ill just nod my head and go with it
tenay: raven puts sting between his legs.... piledriver to the chair!
hennan: ouch, that looks like it hurts and there's the pin...
tenay: another kickout and sting is busted open
hennan: yeah bad looks like that emt needs to...what the hell? where is raven going now
tenay: raven on the outside looking under the ring again... but in the ring sting has rolled out the ring and is (as the camera looks to sting) hiding?
hennan: i knew he was past his prime... he's scared of raven
tenay: raven has pulled out a barbwire bat!
hennan: look at that thing? looks like he brought that straight from that other company
tenay: raven made a name for himself in ecw and he has hardcore roots and he looks to inflict them into sting with that bat
(raven looks around the ring and doesn't find sting...runs a bit more sees sting and goes to connect with the bat but sting
lands a drop toe hold and raven's face lands into the bat)
tenay: talk about irony... raven's face when into his own barbwire and as he gets up HIS face is now covered in blood
hennan: talk about bad luck... now sting is going under the ring... and he pulls out a bardwire bat too
tenay: thats no ordinary bat its sting's trademark black bat with barbwire... and he's going after raven... vicious shots to
the back of raven and now he goes in the ring
hennan: look at raven's shirt...its shredded and the blood is oozing out of the rips...i think im going to be sick
tenay: raven he picks up the chair... and raven blocks sting's headshot attempt with the chair...and again...and another block
(Raven continues to block Sting's swings, raises to his feet and ducks a home-run style swing, and lands a shot to the face of sting)
Tenay: and once again sting's face meets steel... but sting is not phased by it...another shot to the face and he's still not affected
and he yells out to the crowd
hennan: a man possessed here...and sting stars look like the sting of old wcw
tenay: repeated clothesline's by sting... tosses raven into the corner...
(sting runs and lands the Stinger Splash, raven spins around and lands into sting's arms and)
tenay: Scorpion death drop by sting! 1....2....kickout by raven
hennan: (as the crowd is in shock) he kick out of the death drop!
tenay: yes he did, and now sting looks like he's going to do it again
(but raven lands fists to sting... pushes him off into the ropes)
tenay: Evenflow ddt into sting's barbwire bat!
hennan: what is this irony night?
tenay: the pin ....1....2... another kick out by sting
hennan: raven looks frustrated here...with sting's face looking like my spaghetti i had earlier...
tenay: raven is placing a chair under him
hennan: doing some last minute decorating... wait, he's not
tenay: he is... scorpion death drop by raven with sting's head going into the chair.. someone needs to get a doctor out here
hennan: there's the 1...the 2... and the 3...
Announcer Mike hudson: the winner of the match and still the wcw world heavyweight champion...raven

Announcer Mike hudson: here is your winner, and still wcw champion, raven
Mike tenay: oh my god look at this, both men are bloody disasters and raven is barely keeping his balance with his title in hand
Bobby: What the hell? Look its Edge on the ramp and... he's... clapping
Mike Tenay: Him and Booker will face one another at Starrcade to name the new #1 contender but why is he out here now?
Bobby Henan: he knocks out sabin, amy beats a freak of nature for the womens title,
iceman pulls a miracle, chris jericho cheats his ass off and this is only the first week, whats going to happen next week?
Mike Tenay: I cant say i know, but its going to be a hell of a ride, for the brain, I'm mike Tenay, good night everyone
(The camera goes off as Edge is standing looking at Raven)
